at all, but when you take this step before adding the other ingredients, the
onions are mostly cooked already so that you don have to overcook the other
vegetables while waiting for the onions to cook.Whenever i make a stew or soup
that starts with onions(And what doesn this step will bring out the natural
sweetness in the onions.It doesn take too long, but it is the first layer of
